WOW! Facebook aficionados, LISTEN UP!

I just talked to Kevin DaSilva and he is readying  his new Facebook Formulas Facebook training course and from what I’ve seen so far, it’s the best thing on the street. He has REAL video training where he actually shows on-screen instructions of exactly how to set-up everything from start to finish to get more “FB friends”, attract more readers, how to market yourself with “fan pages”. It is so in-depth that anyone that can see and hear can be an expert in 30 days and have money rolling in in that same period if you have a decent product to sell.

This is for anyone that wants to market themselves, their product or service on the Internet. Facebook is becoming more powerful than Google’s search and will become the standard in marketing your product, whether it’s you or something you promote or sell.

It will be a few weeks before it’s all available but you can go to Facebook Formulas on facebook and check out his fan page extras ( LINK )

Google Tablet is Coming says Verizon CEO

According to Dan Nosowitz of Fast Company, “The Wall Street Journal today reported that Lowell McAdam, CEO of Verizon, announced that a Google tablet will be coming to the Verizon’s Network. …

A new tablet running Google’s Android OS will come to Verizon competing with Apple’s iPad, and it will probably bring with it a new pricing plan that makes more sense for the carriers (no more unlimited plans). We’ll see if Verizon can get this thing released sooner rather than later.
They have been a little slow coming to market with smart-phones and other devices. We’ll see “if they can get out of the gate this time.”

I have never heard anyone tell me that Verizon is easy to work with. from simple home phone customer service to digital multi-channel bandwidth, they are thought of as “the Monsters” of telecommunications because “they take no prisoners” and seem to have no feelings.; just grab the money and put a nice front-facing image on.

We’ll see if they get The Tablet and what they’ll do with it.

Pivot, An Amazing New Experiment from Microsoft

I was just watching a TED conference speech about the new possibilities that are on the horizon. Pivot is one of those tools that that Microsoft is working on in their Live Lab and it’s still experimental but WOW! what a platform for the future of looking at information from a new perspective … or many perspectives.

From my perspective as CEO at iBuilderz, Internet marketing is an art and a science and is developed by “understanding” how people relate to information and how to present it in a better way so more people will understand the benefits of certain information to utilize for their best purpose. Especially when we design Web sites, we need to get our visitors to quickly and easily understand so people can get to the information they need without having to “really think about it.” The process needs “awareness” and thought so that your visitors don’t have to “figure it out.”

The video below was very stimulating and creates new possibilities for the future.

Gary Flake, of Microsoft Live Labs, discussed Pivot at the TED conference, TED2010, and demonstrated how you could look at different information and relational information from unique perspective though graphs and displays of data on people and information. MS Live Labs did an experiment with Wikipedia information that brought real sense and vision to disparate information and presented them all in various ways to give understanding to data.

Leave me some comments about this type of experimentation and keep me up-to-date on your findings. It should make for an extremely interesting topic for further posts.

Looking for more traffic to your site?

Getting the most out of your site takes effort to build online relationships and links back to your site. It also takes a constant effort to renew search engines and press releases to get you known as the “expert” and “authority” in your field. Once that is established on blogs and search engines, people will flock to your site.

If you can’t or don’t have the time to keep up with the necessary upkeep, then hire a professional that can do it. For the small investment a professional can do it in less time, with less effort because of their knowledge and experience and in the long-run will cost you less and get you more traffic and new customers.

I am looking for one or two new clients to take to the top of the search engines and help maintain your status as an “expert”.

Canon & Sony Cameras as Internet Power Tools

Canon and Sony have some great cameras that do fine work of photo images and with video capabilities too. The important thing to remember when purchasing a photo camera is that it has a “viewfinder” on the camera to help in framing and details, when taking a picture. Many of the new point and shoot cameras are eliminating this feature and going to LCD screen only.

I haven’t found any LCDs yet that you can see the image on a bright sunny day; forget being able to check the focus too. You now need to get into a minimum $400-$600 SLR camera to be able to have a viewfinder, in a good camera, that you can put your eye up to.

As a former professional photographer and now using photography for web, Internet marketing and video presentations, I live by the viewfinder to frame my pictures and videos to check details. It is almost impossible to do that with just a 2.5″ to 3″ LCD screen. The last of the great small camera, the Canon PowerShot SD780IS seems to be in the process of being fazed out and replaced by the PowerShot SD1400, which of course has eliminated the viewfinder. I am really troubled by that.

I just noticed one other shirt-pocket version camera, while in CompUSA this morning, that still retains a viewfinder as well as the LCD; it is the Canon SD1200, so grab it if you can (US$179.00) but that will probably be replaced soon too. This is a little thicker than the SD780 but still retains the 10 MP and does video, although at a lower res than the SD780. Sony and Nikon have followed suite also by eliminating their viewfinders on their small point-and-shoot cameras. Canon did jump the pixels to 14 MP on the PowerShot SD1400 and the video to 780P HD but the one piece that will really hurt composing photography will be the elimination of the viewfinders. The viewfinders on the point-and-shoot cameras aren’t through-the-lens but they will show you when you have it framed properly and if the image is horizontally straight in the viewfinder.

As a professional, I find that some people are intimidated when I pull out a good SLR camera (single lens reflex, a larger camera with removable lens that the viewfinder actually shows you “through-the-lens” images of your subject). They think they aren’t beutiful enough or the take bad pictures or they are embarassed but the fact is they love the attention. With a small or shirt-pocket size camera they feel it’s just a snapshot and usually OK with the picture talking so that is why I like to carry a small camera with me.

So when your looking for a small camera to carry with you to grab that exciting “Kodak moment” shot or to use on your site or you need a quick video testimonial from a customer, be sure you can frame it correctly and check the details. For that I suggest a camera that has both a LCD scree and a viewfinder on it. Motorola Milestone is GSM Droid

Motorola announced the first GSM Google Android 2.0 handset. It’s called the Milestone, and quite similar to Verizon’s Motorola Droid exept for a few changes.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the Milestone excells over the Droid with multitouch support. The Droid lets you to zoom in and out on the home screen by double tapping the screen, the Milestone also includes iPhone-like pinch capability for zooming in and out. Squeeze your fingers together to zoom in on Web pages, photos, maps and  spread them apart to zoom out. Google Android users have hungered after this feature, which is why I got excited when I first heard that Android 2.0 would offer it. Hopefully, the new Droid will get it since there’s really no reason that it doesn’t.

Milestone offers MOTONAV, which is the company’s own spoken turn-by-turn guidance and mapping system. Milestone also offers trial versions of their Easy Search, Lane Guidance, and Maps.

The hardware is identical to the Droid. They both have 3.7-inch 480×854-pixel resolution screens, 5-megapixel cameras with dual-LED flash, and 3.5mm headset jacks. But in a small change, the Droid comes with a 16GB microSD card and Milestone comes with an 8GB card. Internally, the only hardware difference is found in the radios; Droid is CDMA-based while Milestone is a quad-band GSM handset.

Italy and Germany will get it first with more countries coming later in the year.

Google Think Big for a GIG! Fiber to the Home

Google just announced it is testing Broadband Internet to the home.

Google is planning to launch an experiment that they hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. They plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Their networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second (that’s 1,000 megabits per second), fiber-to-the-home connections. They’ll offer service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people.

From now until March 26th, they”re asking interested municipalities to provide them with information about their communities through a Request for information (RFI), which we’ll use to determine where to build our network.

We’ll watch closely because they are “pushing the competitive envelope” again and that will result is better service for all of us and probably cheaper too.

Get More Prospects with your FREE Massive Traffic Report

“>

Why do I need to increase my traffic to my site? Have you asked that question to yourself lately? Obviously because you are reading this article about getting more prospects. Internet marketing is all about attraction and conversion of visitors to prospects and prospects to customers..

You are really not looking for visitors to your site … unless you’re looking for bragging rights online to your buddys and professional associates; what you are looking for is qualified prospects that can become customers. Let me take a second and talk about customers verses clients, readers, etc.

Your CUSTOMER is who you deliver your message to. It may be a subscriber to your newsletter, it may be a current customer that purchases things from you, it may be a friend or an associate that you want to read your information or see your photos, etc. Your “customer” is who you want to communicate with … by words, photos and videos. In the business we call it an “avatar”, not the new movie Avatar but a person who makes up your readership, a viewer of your information by word, image or video. Anyone you are trying to “sell” your message or idea to or share some information with; that is “your customer”.

Another key element of success is that you must care for “your  customer” and treat them well. Sometimes your customer may need some “truth” that they feel uncomfortable with and not appreciate what you are saying or showing them. Go for “the truth” and never worry if you may chase a few away. You will become known for your honesty, although sometimes brutal, it is still the truth and the Good Book says, “know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Integrity will be known of you and you will gain a reputation for being strong enough to tell the truth. Stay away from rumors and gossip. Print only what you can prove. If it’s not true then you are selling a “lie” and the lie will always come out and damage your reputation and your credibility.  If it’s your opinion and you state that, go ahead but make sure you have run it through your ethics and integrity filter first.

Then get on with attracting “Your Customer.” The use of the Internet to reach your target market is by far the most technology advanced tool we have nowadays. You can reach millions at the touch of a button. And, if you have the following, you can spread your message in a few seconds, heard around the world. Nothing is more powerful than that for your message.

My FREE Massive Traffic Report helps you identify your market “niche”, your area of expertise or group of people that is most likely to benefit from your product or message.

Have a FANTASTIC day and an even better tomorrow!
