DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Consultation
The consultation phase is the most important phase because if it is not accomplished with care and as a collective body, meeting the overall objective of the site...we'd have missed the mission

Design
Design is the imagery and the art of communication. It delivers the message through visual and auditory electronic stimuli that moves a person through sensory motivation to call or purchase the items for sale.

Development
The development cycle takes all the ideas and formulates images and text that elevate them to the senses to capture a moment in time... an experiential moment that excites and motivates the viewer to take action...action that ends in a contact with the prospect.

Implementation of design by iBuilderz
The Implementation phase is when the "rubber meets the road'... It's when you turn dreams and design into functional motivation. Does the site do what it was intended to do? Did it meet the objectives? Time will tell!

These simple but powerful steps will lead us to the success of your web site. It works! It's been field-tested for the 15 years of of the Worldwide Web's existence and web site building and proven thousands of times to stand the test for quality site design.

Think you can do a better job on your own? Well, this book might help you. Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, 2nd Edition It's one that I recommend to people that "think they know best." Its an informative guide to what other people think and what they will and won't react to on your site. A good read for a good site. Even if you don't do the site yourself, it would be a great book to read to see that the site designer is doing their job properly. It will also help you build a sound web strategy for you your overall marketing program.

After designing many web sites over the last ten years, I have discovered that some people are not willing to pay for experience ... which is up to them. Experience is a hard way to find out how to do something right. You can read all the books and follow all the chapters but until you have tried and failed several times and then tried and succeeded, will you know how valuable "others people's mistakes" may have been for you.

Let me ask a simple question. Do you really want to get into the design and build business? Are you an expert in your field now? How about if you and I partner-up on this project and use my experience to guide you. Ask yourself how much you earn per hour now. If it took you 100 hours for a small site, 5-10 pages, to learn and design a web site, how much would that cost you if you weren't doing your job now? At $50 per hour that would be $5,000.00. If it took you more or less time, would you have a good site you felt proud of that brought a few new customers or would you want an attractive, professional, search-engine-friendly site that brought you business and business you never expected? Most people believe that if they put up a web site (one of five hundred million on the web now) that people are one, going to find them, and two that they are going to rush to do business with you.

Good Web marketing takes a planned approach and a systematic follow-up marketing plan to get people to the site. Expect six months of concentrated work, after the site is up, to get you site established in the search engines and news, for you to begin receiving good traffic flow and expect some quality leads.

Take a look at some of our sites and see for yourself the time and extras we put in to make, not just a good site but a site that gets action and is deserving of the quality products and services your company delivers to the customer. We develop the site step-by-step with you and you have full authority on selection and approving all elements of he site. As you see in our Design and Development Process, we will spend considerable time in the consulting phase to discover all about your company and it's products and services so we have a very good understanding of what the "hot buttons" may be for your prospective customer. You and I will then develop a strategy to reach, excite and convert that prospect to become your customer. And if you have a good follow-up program and deliver as promised, you be able to keep that customer coming back over and over, The other great thing is that they will tell their associates and friends about you too and that is absolute best advertising you can receive.

During the consultation phase, we will send out surveys to your existing customers and find out how they chose you rather than your competitors, to purchase your products or services. We want to know the truth. We may even ask some customer that left you to go with a competitor why they did it ... and incorporate that into our marketing strategy and quality assurance program, to never let it happen again.

Customers are so valuable over a long period of time .... and costly to acquire. It can cost you upwards of $1,000.00 to acquire each new customer when you count all you invest in Chamber subscriptions, meetings, entertaining prospects, sales staffs, advertising, etc. Maybe even ten times that for larger companies with costlier products and services. Add up what you spend on promotion, advertising, and the other and divide it by the new customers you are keeping, sale after sale. Add up what each customer is worth over a five or ten year period. After looking at the results, then ask yourself what a quality Web site could be worth if it reduced your acquisition cost of gaining new customers by half or three-quarters, how much that would save you over five years. The amount will surprise you!

If this thinking sounds like the approach you may want to take, pick up the phone now and give me a call and we'll talk about it. Call me, John Roth at 813 - 377 - 2622 or email me at "john.roth @ ibuilderz.com". No obligation at all, so I'll be looking for your call. Have a great day!

John
